MY MIRACLE SOLUTION FOR STRESS- And Just About Everything Else
Awhile back I realized I had a gift for healing people through energy. That realization sent me on an extensive exploration of the often obscure world of energy healing. I spent months exploring different healing modalities, enrolled in class after class, and read every book I could get my hands on.
I’d now like to report back the best stress relieving tool I've come across while exploring the different secrets of many schools. Salt-water and coffee baths. Ta Da! Please hold any judgment until you try it. It’s the kind of thing that once you try it, you’re sold. I have not had one client who hasn’t loved it or who hasn’t continued to use these baths as part of their personal routine. I personally use them twice a week.
However, salt water/coffee baths are more than just my best stress relief tool, they’re more like my miracle “cure all." Like Robitussin or Ginger Ale for some moms (or maybe "Vivaporu" if you’re Latino). Salt water/coffee baths are effective for just about everything.
If I had a prescription pad, I would “prescribe” salt-water/coffee baths in the same manner campus clinics dispense antibiotics. You had a stressful day in court- salt water/coffee bath. If you're mad at your husband and want to argue with him- take a salt water/coffee bath first before you argue. It saves a lot of drama. If you just had an argument where someone unloaded all kinds of emotional garbage and negative energy on you- salt water/coffee bath. Depression, cramps, anger, worries, trauma- salt water/coffee baths. And they are absolutely amazing for physical ailments as well. I’ve seen miraculous healings from sports injuries, hot flashes, cysts, and even swine flu. They are particularly wonderful for anyone dealing with arthritis since it tends to pull the pain right out. My grandmother found them so effective, she is currently trying to negotiate with her landlord to see if he would be willing to install a bathtub in her current “shower-only” bathroom.
Why do they work so well?
I ran into this miracle solution in Pranic Healing, an ancient Chinese energy medicine modality. We were told about these baths as a way to clear out negative energy from our body- the negative energy our own body produces in the form of negative emotions and illnesses, and the negative energy we absorb (or have thrust upon us) from others. As healers, we often absorb the negative energy of others and negative energy eventually leads to disease. Salt disintegrates negative energy and water absorbs it, hence why the ocean is such a great healer. Coffee has orange prana (i.e. orange energy) and orange energy expels negative energy out of your body. Thus the combination of salt water and coffee culminates in the negative energy in your body being disintegrated, expelled, and absorbed by the salt water. Negative emotions, including stress, are basically negative energy. So while soaking in this bath your stress energy is literally being extracted from your body. Pain and things like cysts are also comprised of negative energy, which explains why salt water baths are also so effective for physical ailments. Plus negative energy left unchecked in your body for long periods can turn into serious physical ailments, so as the negative energy (the source of the illness) is extracted, you also experience the relief of physical symptoms.
Sure as a healer I have many different tricks in my bag to relieve stress. I can always do an energy healing session on myself and pull stress right out. But at the end of a long day, a salt water bath is the easiest option. Also, it’s a trick anyone can employ effectively without being a healer.
So how do you try one of these baths?
You dump in about 26 ounces of salt (a full container)into warm water. Just regular table salt or sea salt will do. Epsom salt is not recommended because it has different properties. After pouring the salt, drop in a 2-3 individual packets of instant coffee. Folgers makes them. The kind that look like tea bags. Then you just soak for 20 minutes. Do not stay in the bath longer than 20 minutes because the bath is so strong that after 20 minutes it starts removing some of your positive energy as well. After 20 minutes, proceed to take your regular shower.
That’s all. Nothing spectacular about the process, only the results. The first time I tried it I was expecting a mess, but there was none.
If you would like to make your baths even more effective, you can set an intention beforehand stating that you intend to release any negative energy, stress energy, and negative emotions in your body into the salt water bath. You can also visualize the energy leaving your body if you like or you can just lay there and let the salt, water, and coffee do their thing.
These baths are by no means a secret. Master Stephen Co openly speaks of them in his Pranic Healing courses and most Pranic Healers recommend these baths. However, much of the general public hasn’t heard of or tried this wonderful tool/remedy and that’s a shame. These baths not only improve your mental and emotional health, but they can add years to your life. They also do wonders for your skin since we all know how much stress ages us.
As people’s stress level continues to rise, and as a result more people become seriously ill, stress reduction techniques are becoming more important. I wanted to do my part to spread one of the most valuable techniques in my toolbox.
*Please note that these baths are not intended to replace conventional medicine, but rather complement it. Individuals with serious physical or psychological conditions should consult licensed health care professionals. If any discomfort or adverse effect is experienced during the bath, you are advised to stop the bath immediately and consult a doctor (had to add this because I had one client make the water too hot and stay in there too long, which led to blood pressure dropping and the person almost fainting).

CRYSTALS KEEP DEPRESSION AWAY - Medical Research on Crystals and Depression
Crystals can keep depression away. That’s no secret to those of us who use crystals every day, but it’s always nice to have medical studies support our experiences. And so I wanted to share.
A study by world-renown doctor, Dr. Norman Shealy (info below), shows that the use of crystals can have a huge impact on keeping depression away. Dr. Shealy conducted a wonderful study where he gave Quartz crystals to depression patients who had improved using his program. He gave the patients in the control group a piece of glass instead of a quartz crystal. The study was double-blind so the patients did not know they were receiving glass instead of a Quartz crystal and the nurses distributing the crystals also did not know they were handing out glass to patients. All patients were asked to wear their “crystals” around their neck for three months. Three months later, with no further treatment (not even anti-depressants), 70% of the patients who received the Quartz crystal remained out of depression. In stark contrast, only 26% of the patients who received glass remained out of depression.
This study shows what a wonderful tool crystals are for increasing emotional health. Crystals can bring emotional stability and increase happiness, while absorbing the negative energy and negative emotions in your system. This results in greater emotional balance and an increase in overall well-being.
The journal article on the study above is not free online, but here is a link to a page where the study is briefly documented:

Also please note that crystals are complementary medicine and not meant to replace traditional doctors, but rather complement them.
Use the Power of Crystals to Amplify Your Power
I just wanted to let you all know that my new crystal website is up and running!! The address is: www.powertreasuresonline.com
On the website you can read about different crystals and their benefits. You can also browse benefits to see what crystals fall under the benefit you are looking for. You can also read about the use of crystals throughout history and about how crystals work.
The point of the website was to make some of my energy healing services more accessible. So on the website you can purchase beautiful, crystal pendants that I energetically cleanse, consecrate, charge, and custom-program for you. Every pendant comes with a little note stating what it was programmed to do.
This idea came to me during meditation way back in May, so I'm excited to finally have it up and running! This is a service I usually provide as part of my life coaching package, so I'm excited to have the opportunity to offer it to more people and to also spread knowledge about crystals and how they can help you reach your goals and improve the quality of your life. Everyone who knows me, knows that I don't go ANYWHERE without a crystal pendant on. So you know how I feel about them.
Anyhow, I hope you will enjoy the website and spread the word. If you have anything you would like to see on this site in the future, please let me know. It's going to be an ongoing project and I hope to add more information to it in the months ahead.

Emotional Moment From My Journal and Cool Info on the Power of Crystals
Journal Entry:
Hmm… I just had a weird emotional moment while doing research (and I promise I’m not a cryer. If you know me, you KNOW that. Which is what made this so strange)... It came with a feeling of, “Wow, everything is always connected.”
I’ve been doing a lot of research, trying to gather content for a website for my new business. It’s crystal-related (in case you didn’t know). LOL, the research has been burdensome because I REALLY love crystals and I tend to go on 4-hour-long UNNECESSARY research tangents. I really don’t need that much info for my website. It’s just that while I'm blessed to know how to use crystals effectively and about their properties, I’d never sat down to just research their role in history.
So I’ve been having fun throughout the week discovering how just about every civilization throughout history has used the power of crystals and how they’re present in just about every religion. And even though I DEFINITELY do not need to list or explore the 200+ times that crystals are mentioned in the Bible, for some reason I’m drawn to reading it all. *shrugs* I don’t need to document St. Hildegard’s two medical treatises covering crystals or Cleopatra, Alexander the Great, the Incas, the Sumerians, Olympic athletes, or any of that, but I’ve been going on 4-hour-long tangents for each of the above…
Anyhow the history research has been really fun (because I’m an esoteric studies nerd), but today I was researching the science stuff. BLAH!!! When the word “crystal” starts turning into “crystalline,” I start to get a little sleepy. Reading about Cleopatra using her amethyst ring to seduce Julius Caesar and Mark Antony amuses me so much more. :-)
During the research, of course I ran into Marcel Vogel’s name (he was a famous scientist who produced some of the most powerful crystal healing tools available).
I read a quote from Marcel Vogel that I wanted to work with, but since I like to quadruple check every bit of info I use, that led to reading all kinds of scientific experiments by Marcel. They were cool but a bit technical.
This is the passage that led me on that trail:
"According to crystal researcher Marcel Vogel, a senior scientist with IBM for 27 years: The crystal is a neutral object whose inner structure exhibits a state of perfection and balance. When it’s cut to the proper form and when the human mind enters into relationship with its structural perfection, the crystals emit a vibration which extends and amplifies the powers of the user’s mind. Like a laser, it radiates energy in a coherent, highly concentrated form, and this energy may be transmitted into objects or people at will. Its higher purpose…is in the service of humanity for the removal of pain and suffering. With proper training, a healer can release negative thought forms which have taken shape as disease patterns in a patient’s physical body."
Anyhow, I was getting a little fidgety reading through my trail of science papers, when suddenly I just started feeling a weird, inexplicable connection to Marcel Vogel.
Then I ran into his eulogy. And randomly started crying while reading it. But not until I saw the last part because that’s when the “It’s all tied together” feeling overwhelmed me.
Here it is-
Eulogy for Marcel presented by Dr. Bernard McGinity at Marcel’s funeral on Valentine’s Day, 1991, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, in San Jose, California:
"Those of us who are scientists or physicians and who worked with Marcel Vogel were well aware of his scientific achievements: his extraordinary work with phosphors, bioluminescence, luminescent paints and the design of magnetic disc coatings in computers. He was one of the most prolific scientists in IBM history with over 100 patents in his name. Yet, until his recent honorary Ph.D., he possessed no official university degree. He made his mark because of the brilliance of his mind, his prolific ideas, and his seemingly limitless creativity.
But it is not his scientific work that I want to talk about. For it is for his work with Spirit, his great spiritual strength, his wonderful capacity to love that I will always remember Marcel.
I was one of a group of 16 physicians privileged to work with him over a number of years with body energies, especially the capacity to focus healing energies with crystals in the treatment of illness. All of us had an extensive background in acupuncture and appreciated the ability to manipulate body energies.
Under Marcel’s guidance, some of us began to learn the process of transmitting thought, especially loving thoughts, unconditionally, to our patients. It brought us an even greater capacity to appreciate the power of the mind to influence illness, the power both to heal and exacerbate disease. And, most important all, to appreciate the incredible presence of unconditional love and it’s capacity to trigger transformative shifts in a patient’s psyche.
Marcel served for me as a spiritual mentor. He was a truly devout, yet iconoclast Catholic with a passionate love for Christ, and whose devotion was part of his very breathing. Yet he embraced with a deep understanding the teaching the Eastern religions with an especial love and admiration for the Lord Buddha.
He possessed the ability to see beyond the confines and formal structure of church teaching to appreciate the underlying principles in all devout religions. Marcel would have been just as comfortable in a Tibetan monastery as he was in this Church. And just as comfortable and compatible in the presence of the Dalai Lama as he would in the presence of the Pope.
Marcel emphasized the power of meditation to heal and guide our lives. I would like to invite you to join with me now in a meditation prayer to, for and with Marcel.
Please sit comfortably in your chairs, take some deep breaths and in a true ecumenical spirit rest with your palms turned upward and the tips of your thumb and forefinger joined together.
First of all visualize Marcel.
See him clearly; that big teddy bear of a man with his great capacity to love.
Ask yourself, what lessons did he teach you?
How did he serve as an example to you?
In what way did he influence your life?
Now send Marcel your true appreciation of what he did for you and what he meant to you.
It is said that all great teachers pass on their energy, their knowledge, and their wisdom. Ask Marcel to pass on to you whatever energy, knowledge or wisdom you need from him.
Finally, let us all join together in sending him a wave of love. Thank him for being part of our lives. And send him on to his highest spiritual evolution with our blessings and with all our love.
I would like to close with a prayer of St. Francis of Assisi –
a prayer that embodies the essential purpose of Marcel Vogel’s life.
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy Peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, Faith;
Where there is despair, Hope;
Where there is darkness, Light;
Where there is sadness, Joy.
Lord, grant that I may not seek to be consoled
as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life."
That’s when I started crying. Because in Pranic Healing that prayer is part of the meditation we’re taught to meditate on every day. And it’s the meditation that my Spiritual Teacher asks us to use. It’s central to our teachings, so for some reason it made me emotional that they used that prayer to sum up the essential purpose of Marcel's life, AFTER I had started feeling a strange connection to him.
It's also the prayer that hangs over my desk on a beautiful tablet, which I bought at the Vatican, many years ago- before I had even heard of Pranic Healing (I'm starting to wonder if it's every healer's prayer..)......
So as I’m taking a “Wow” gasp and wondering “Wait, why do I have tears going down my cheeks? WTH??” I click on a “random” link to a crystal.
And see this:
"The Lifestream Vogel-cut® Prana Crystal was originally created as a special order for Master Choa Kok Sui, well known healer and Master of Pranic Healing.
As is our practice in the process of working with a new crystal form, I sent one of the Prana crystals to friend Melissa Applegate for her impressions. Melissa is a gifted intuitive and has done frequent consulting work for Marcel Vogel. This was Melissa’s first impression of the Vogel-cut® Prana crystal without any background information regarding its origins and the connection to Master Choa.
“The impression I had was of a master of some kind. I had the impression of an oriental Master of some kind, very much into the Buddhist tradition, very much working with healing modalities with this crystal.
"I got specifically that he had Marcel’s permission to put specific programming into the crystal and that whatever crystal you cut will have this generic program within it and that Marcel had agreed. It was like his consciousness or someone he is working with, who is also a Buddhist Master, that consciousness was so personal and so interactive. It was mind-boggling to me.”
Master Choa Kok Sui is my Spiritual Teacher. And I’m a Pranic Healer. The connection was revealed. Master Choa is someone who I share the type of connection with that you can’t put into words or explain. It’s a heart thing. Of course I released another, “Wow,” in amazement of how everything in my life always seems to be tied together. And how I always start to feel connections in my heart before I even know where they’re from…. Which is a relatively new gift for me….
That night I definitely followed the meditation directions in the eulogy and asked Marcel to pass on to me whatever energy, knowledge, or wisdom I needed from him. And ever since that night, I've been even more excited and feeling like Marcel is guiding me in this new business. Which is GREAT for confidence. :-D

Tips For Dealing With the Swine Flu Scare
A lot of the kids in my area have Swine Flu. Calming down the parents has been half the battle. Panic is never helpful so I wanted to take a few minutes to post a blog on the topic.
Before I begin, please note that nothing below is meant to replace medical care. Only to complement it and to prevent illness in the first place. So DEFINITELY go see a doctor if you think you have Swine Flu and follow your doctor's instructions!
Now that the lawyer in me got that out of the way, here are some tips:
FIRST OF ALL, RELAX!
If your child has Swine Flu and is having difficulty breathing, if you want your child to breathe fine again, getting panicky and scaring your child is one of the worst things you can do! Chances are your child is already pretty scared, so don't make it worse.
The more relaxed and calm your child remains (or hey this applies if you have Swine Flu yourself), the faster his body can heal. Don't forget your body is made to heal itself. When you purchase over the counter medicines for colds and flus, those medicines aren't to heal your cold/flu, but to suppress the symptoms until your body is able to fight off the disease. Similarly when you break your arm, your doctor puts it in a cast to get YOU out of your own way so that your arm can heal itself (i.e. so that you don't move it around and interfere with the healing process). So the point is to get out of your own way so that your body can heal itself. That means you have to get your fear and stress out of the way. The calmer you are, the better. Please don't manifest worst case scenarios and craziness with your mind.
Here is an article on how stress kills ("If you're worried about your health, stop. You're only making it worse.") : http://www.livescience.com/health/080115-stress-kills.html
ALSO, DON'T FORGET MIND OVER MATTER.
Take back your power and declare that your body will NOT host any bacteria or virus. That you won't accept it in your body. The power of belief/your mind is incredible. I haven't even coughed in over a year. And I used to get sick with a flu/cold 2-3 times a year.
AND HERE ARE SOME PRANIC HEALING-BASED TIPS FOR PREVENTION AND HEALING. Pranic Healers received some of these along with an energy healing protocol back when Swine Flu first came out back in May:
1)You can take Bee Propolis (as long as you arent allergic to bees). This helps clear out negative and diseased energy. Also you can take Royal Jelly, which gives your body more energy to heal itself and puts shield around, i.e. strengthens your ability to keep diseases out(again make sure u arent allergic to bees). The Royal Jelly isn't part of the protocol I received, but we're recommended to use it every day for overall health. Note, I'm not an herbalist, I heal people w/my hands, not supplements. These are just recommendations that were made to me and that I personally follow and find effective. Any supplements you choose to take, you do so completely at your own risk (lol, sorry the lawyer in me again).
2) Tea Tree Oil and Eucalyptus Oil. Put 3-5 drops of Tea Tree and 3-5 drops of eucalyptus oil in a small container with hot water. Inhale through the nose and exhale through the mouth, 7-12 times per session. Repeat this protocol 3-4 times a day during 2 weeks or more. Do no exhale in the container. The abundant green prana of the Tea Tree oil has a disinfectant effect. The eucalyptus oil also has a disinfectant as well as anti-bacterial effect. These are use as antibiotic against fungus, viral and bacterial infections. Eucalyptus oil contains orange prana that helps to expel the diseased energy.
3) Salt water bath w/eucalyptus oil. Fill up your bathtub, dump in a FULL container of salt (all 26 oz) and add 10-15 drops of Eucalyptus oil. Soak for about 20 minutes, then shower as usual. Do this a few times a week if u think u have it or are coming down with something. This pulls the negative energy out of your body.
4) You can also drink lots of green tea and acai. Two of my favorite antioxidants that are wonderful for flushing out negative and diseased energy. :-)
And of course use all the other common sense recommendations like washing your hands often, getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, getting exercise, etc.
Hope these help!

Strategy for Maintaining Control of Your Life and Not Spiraling Into Negativity
Hello! First I'd like to apologize for my lack of blogs lately. Most of my writing time has been going toward working on my first book, so I've been somewhat neglecting this blog. I definitely want to continue posting here though (it's part of my tithing!) and so I thought I'd post one of the strategies/instructions I was just drafting for the "How To Use This Book" section of the book I'm writing. It's applicable to maintaining control of your life, reaching your goals, and not falling into destructive habits. This technique is meant to keep you from slipping. BTW, this presupposes that you're working towards goals. And pretty much everyone is, even if that goal is just to be happy (the most important of all in my opinion). So here we go.
Take Inventory Once a Week
......Since taking and maintaining control of your life can be a little tricky at times, I suggest you use the “Taking Inventory Once a Week” technique that I personally use in my life and encourage all my clients to use as well.
Once a week you will sit down and take inventory of your life. You will write down what is working for you and what is NOT working for you. It doesn't have to be some long ceremonial thing or process, but you do have to honestly reflect on your week and life in general. It’s just like a brief check-in. A once a week life inventory to see how things are going for you. To troubleshoot problems or potential problems and realize what changes you need to make NOW. This system helps you stay on track and therefore helps you stay in control.
It’s easy to slack off a couple days and start going in a different direction. Usually a spiraling downward direction. So checking in once a week helps catch self-limiting or self-sabotaging behavior before it becomes a problem. For example, if you start engaging in destructive behavior, wallowing in negative thoughts/emotions/self-pity, or start throwing your time away, you will catch it within a week’s period and do something about it. This way you never allow the feelings of things like throwing your day away or the guilt, disappointment, and powerlessness that come with doing such things to overwhelm you and sink you into its’ dark holes. You will catch what’s not working BEFORE it spirals out of control.
So once a week sit down and take inventory. Write down what’s working for you, what’s not working for you, what needs to be changed, and what you will no longer accept in your life. Resolve to change what’s not working and write down a step by step action plan for changing it. Then implement your plan immediately. Every time you do this, you’re taking back control of your life instead of allowing yourself to feel helpless. It checks trends before they grow and turn into habits. Or alternatively catches old negative habits that you need to eliminate.
For example, let’s say your physical health is deteriorating. You’ve gained five pounds and your muscles feel weak. Feeling out of shape is causing negative feelings in you. You’ve been meaning to go to the gym but you haven’t gone in a few weeks. During your life inventory, you sit down and write that gaining weight and leading a sedentary life is not working for you. You resolve to change it. Then you write down your action plan for this week. For example: "I will take a 30 minute walk during my lunch time every day and I will join a weekly yoga class this week." You don't have to go crazy with it and get carried away because you'll have another check in the following week and you'll be able to adjust accordingly and add more stuff if needed.
See how it helps troubleshoot before little things turn into big problems?
And it’s very important while using this book because it will help you catch yourself if you start to backslide or aren’t keeping up with your exercises. For example, during your weekly inventory you might realize that you are holding a lot of anger toward someone and it’s affecting your mood and emotions. You realize that holding that anger is not working for you and you remember from Chapter ___ that you aren’t supposed to be holding on to anger anymore (in fact it's supposed to be one of your goals). And so you resolve to let go of that anger before it keeps growing and starts having a larger effect on your life. It’s crucial to catch things before they spiral out of control. So please make it a goal to check in once a week.
Make it part of your routine. Do it religiously. Consistency matters with this one.
That's the section I have on that because I have a limited amount of space in that chapter of my book. But since this is my unlimited blog, I'll add a few more examples in case you all want them. :-)
More examples:
-Another example, let’s say you find that lately you’ve just been exhausted at work and that it’s related to a certain someone calling you late at night. You decide the rewards those late night conversations are bringing you aren't worth the exhaustion at work. So you determine that this is just not working for you anymore and you sit down and write down your plan for changing the situation. I.e. "From now on I will no longer take his late night calls or I will limit our calls to one hour."
-Or let’s say one of your goals is to finish a poem, book, painting, song, project. But you only worked on it two hours this week. You wonder where your free time went and you realize that most of it was spent online playing on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, etc. You decide that throwing your time away online is not working for you. Then you write down what actions you’re going to take in response. I.e. Limit your online time to two 30 minute sessions a day. And remember to implement it immediately. **Procrastination is one of the most popular self-sabotage strategies out there. Always be on the look out for it and be sure to check it immediately. Tends to rise from subconscious feelings of unworthiness (in case you were wondering).**
-Or you realize that you've been feeling a little down and gloomy this week. And you are pretty sure it's because you are lacking fun in your life. And working all the time is not working for you. So you sit down and write down a plan for adding fun to your life. I.e. Two days a week I will do something I consider fun. I will start by going to the beach this Saturday and going to play laser tag Wednesday after work (I don’t know, but you get the idea).
-Or you realize that you spent a lot of time in the middle of gossip this week and that's just not conducive to the positive lifestyle you are trying to lead. You can't be all up in the middle of negativity expecting to attract positive things into your life. So you decide that friend's gossiping about other people in front of you is not working for you. And you write down your action plan for no longer having to sit through gossip.
-Or you sit down and realize you have a lot of money stress. And decide that financial uncertainty is just not working for you. So you sit down and write down what actions you are going to take to get rid of financial uncertainty.
-Disorganization and clutter are also popular ones. You realize the mess on your desk needs to go but you've been putting off cleaning it for a couple of months. So you sit down and allot time for cleaning and organizing. Schedule it in. Do it.
LOL, alright I think that's enough examples.
Have fun taking back your power and maintaining it! Most people have no idea just how much power they have. Make sure you are tapping into that power.
Love,
J
